Verdict Tomorrow
Please join us in prayer for Calvary Chapel, San Jose, Ca. and Pastor Mike McClure along with all the wonderful people in the church. This great church is in a war with the evil State of California for remaining open during COVIID.
Our daughter-in-law’s sister and husband are on staff at Calvary Chapel and the enemy is trying hard to close the church down. They began 2020 with a few hundred people but tripled in size for being the only Bible-believing church in the community willing to stay open.
The State has taken them to court and the trial is wrapping up. They are threatening to confiscate the church buildings and property to cover the more than $1.5 million state fines already levied on the congregation.
A final decision is scheduled for tomorrow which could bring more fines and possible jail time for Pastor Mike McClure.
Details Concerning Tomorrow’s Hearing and Verdict
When: Thursday, January 28, 2021, at 1:30 PM PST (10:30 AM EST)
Where: Old Courthouse, 161 N 1st St, San Jose, CA 95113
The closing arguments and the judge’s verdict will be rendered tomorrow.
The county is looking to sanction the church more than $80,000, which will be added to the outstanding fines exceeding $1,500,000. The county is also looking to personally sanction both Pastor Mike McClure and Carson Atherley more than $25,000 and hold them in contempt of court.
Thursday at the courthouse, many pastors have invited their congregations to attend in support of the church.

Please pray that the Lord will intervene to touch the Judge’s heart to show mercy and that God will show up to miraculously grant victory and relief to this wonderful church facing down the Goliath of California.
