12 hours ago sirens blasted all over Israel, waking up 10 million citizens and alerting the population of potential missile strikes from Iran. It was about 3 AM Israel time. Families gathered in the bomb shelters and cuddled their little ones through the evening of siren blasts. In the morning, a new dawn rose over the Middle East.
This missile alert took place as the first wave of Israeli bombers initiated the first round of attacks against Iranian military and nuclear targets. By now, many more sorties of jets are on their way… the war is still young. Israel is in a nation-wide state of emergency. All public events have been cancelled and most folks are stocking up on food, drink, and emergency equipment in case the war goes bad and services are disrupted. Please pray for Israel as this situation can get worse before it gets better.
Since the news outlets are covering the events, I’ll keep this report short and simply offer bullet points of the unfolding events from Israel’s perspective for your information and for your prayers.
TALK IS USELESS, especially when dealing with dedicated Jihadist regimes in the Middle East who are bent on massacring the children, destroying Israel, and taking over their land. It appears that Israel’s leaders (thanks to the avalanche of prayers and intercessions from all over the world) found the courage to bypass the “global choirs of compromise” and take action.
SO, WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW?
MORE THAN 200 Israeli war planes are participating in these bombing waves. This is more than any other air force around the world (with the exception of the USA) could master with a coordinated simultaneous attack.
ISRAELI MOSSAD AND SPECIAL FORCES were planted in Iran long ago and operated precision missiles and suicide drones FROM IRANIAN TERRITORY, destroying anti-aircraft missile batteries, while Israel’s air force was attacking overhead.
THE WAR’S GOALS are: 1 – Dismantling Iran’s military leadership, creating chaos and anarchy among the decision makers. 2 – Neutralizing Iran’s air-defense missile capabilities, leaving Iran’s sky wide open for Israel’s air force to keep assaulting strategic targets. And 3 – Destroying Iran’s nuclear facilities. Pray for Israel that “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me, says the LORD.” (Isaiah 54).
IRAN’S ECONOMY MAY BE NEXT. Iran’s leaders know that any severe retaliation against Israel will bring about the immediate destruction of their oil and energy facilities. This will cut off the only source of income for this failing regime and cause a public unrest that could bring the Ayatollahs down.
More than the Ayatollahs are afraid of Israel, they fear the fomenting and angry minorities that hate them and loathe the “Islamic Revolution” that was forced upon Persia in the 1980’s. Iran’s energy and oil producing and exporting facilities SHOULD BE DESTROYED ASAP so that the Jihadi regime will not be able to rebuild itself after this war is over and renew its terror producing policies.
May God have mercy upon the Persian people.
MOST, IF NOT ALL, OF IRAN’S SENIOR MILITARY LEADERSHIP was eliminated during the first surprise pre dawn attack, and their chain of command is gone. Most of them were caught off guard while in their beds, some were targeted in their hidden headquarters.
No Iranian leader is safe now, knowing that they are naked and exposed before Israeli intelligence. What took the IDF weeks dismantling Hezbollah’s leadership in Lebanon, took only hours for Iran.
EVERY NUCLEAR PRODUCTION SITE in Iran was hit and severely damaged so far. More to come…
THE SCALE OF THE ATTACK took the Iranian regime by surprise, and with all their nuclear sites hit at the same time with no functioning leadership, they didn’t know what to defend first. Neither were they able to unleash an effective retaliatory strike thus far. May it remain this way, and may they be demoralized and immobilized.
IRAN IS ISOLATED AND ABANDONED by her allies. No one is coming to her aid apart from the usual choir of empty words, and frankly, no one cares. Saudi Arabia is (quietly) relieved that Israel is “taking care of business;” Hamas refused Iran’s request to reopen its front against Israel; and the Houthis are shocked. How miserable that even Iran’s proxies don’t want to stand by her side any longer. They know a loser when they see one.
WILL THE PERSIAN PEOPLE RISE UP and topple this evil regime? These are momentous days and the scales can tip overnight. We are praying that the USA will take a strong stand in support of the Iranian anti-regime minorities who could bring down the Ayatollahs from within, transform the Middle East, and solve the nuclear issue in one sweep. There are more than ten large minority groups living in Iran, all of which hate the Islamic Revolution and its dark shadow.
THE NUCLEAR NEGOTIATIONS ARE IRRELEVANT. They were all just smoke and mirrors. Iran now has no functioning nuclear program to speak of now and will consequently have very little to bring to a future negotiating table. Iran’s imaginary show of force was proven to be fake, and the West may see that it is witnessing a speedy shift in the balance of powers in the Middle East.
EVERYONE LOVES THE VICTOR. Trusting the Lord God of Israel to bring Israel victoriously through the longest war Israel has ever had to fight. Pray that Israel’s leadership will find the faith, wisdom and courage to take full advantage of the situation. The Middle East is transforming before the eyes of a bewildered world, and we pray that Israel will have a divine prayer-fueled “God Momentum” to swiftly move forward to clear the Gaza Strip from all hostile population, anex the security belt in what used to be Lebanon and Syria, and introduce final and workable solutions to the Arab situation in Judea and Samaria.
REVIVAL IN THE ARAB AND MUSLIM WORLD. We pray that these shock waves will be useful in God’s providence as He calls His remnant to Himself from the Arab/Muslim word.
This is an unfolding situation, and can get better or worse within hours and days, and we all should recognize the immense place and need for prayer. As the Lord Himself promised us,
“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.”
