Israelis walk by the Dome of the Rock Mosque in the Al Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem’s old city, Sunday, June 2, 2019. Clashes erupted after Israeli nationalists visited the contested site, revered by Jews as their most holy Temple Mount and by Muslims as the Noble Sanctuary, during “Jerusalem Day, an Israeli holiday celebrating the capture of the Old City during the 1967 Mideast war.
UN vote overwhelmingly denies Jewish connection to Temple Mount
The resolution, which passed 129-11, denied that the Temple Mount holds any significance for Israel.
The U.N. General Assembly adopted a resolution on Wednesday which called the Temple Mount by its Muslim name, Haram el-Sharif, and downplayed the historical connection of the Jewish people to the holiest site in Judaism.
Called the “Jerusalem Resolution,” the measure was passed by a 129 to 11 vote, with 31 abstentions.
The name of the resolution says it all!
It says we’re getting close to the Rapture! And it screams Bible prophecy is coming to pass right before our eyes! (Zech. 12:2-3)
Bible prophecy indicates that in the last days Jerusalem will become the center of controversy with the world claiming it belongs to a people who really have no right to it!
Jerusalem is the City of God but prior to the Tribulation and then all the way up to Christ’s Second Coming, Jerusalem will be in a tug-of-war for its very survival between two titans: Satan vs. God!
With Biden illegally lifting Iranian sanctions on Iran, allowing them to better race to destroy Israel, and now this bazaar UN vote, Satan is having a good week! Both issues, Iranian nukes and control of the Temple Mount are “must haves” for the enemy as we draw closer to the Tribulation. In fact, both are strong signs we are, in fact, getting very close to the “Time of Jacob’s Trouble.”
With all that’s going on in the world, why is the UN so lazar focused on Israel? Last year, out of 20 UN General Assembly resolutions that criticize countries, 70 percent were focused on one single country— Israel.
What drives these lopsided condemnations is Satan’s powerful political agenda to demonize the Jewish state as part of his strategy for world dominance.
Satan is the “ruler of this world,” a phrase Jesus used 4 times in the Gospel of John describing Satan. The Greek word used for “ruler” in each case is “archon” which is a political tern reminding us that Satan has real influence over the nations and governments of this world. Now his sights are set on the Temple Mount!
‘US is perceived as weak in the region,’ CBN Middle East Bureau Chief Chris Mitchell tells ISRAEL NEWS – as Biden waives sanctions against Iran.
Why Satan Believes He Must Destroy Israel
Review His Attempts
by Tim Buck
In our current Series called, The CLASH, we’ve discussed why Satan feels he needs to destroy Israel in order to defeat God. One of the reasons he feels he must destroy Israel is to prevent fulfillment of the Abrahamic Covenant.
God promised Abraham that He would have descendants forever, who would become believers and God would rule over them.
7 And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your offspring after you.
8 And I will give to you and to your offspring after you all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession, and I will be their God.
If Satan can destroy the Jewish Race, he can prove that God is a Promise Breaker not a Promise Keeper.
He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.
For 4,000 years the Jewish people have faced relentless persecution, opposition, and attempts to annihilate and destroy them; and in the future, the struggle against Israel will continue.
If it concerned any other people, this campaign would seem irrational. However, with Israel, a rational but very Satanic strategy sustains this animosity.
Let’s review some of his attempts.
Events in Ancient History:
Abraham went to Egypt and lied about Sarah, nearly causing Pharaoh to violate her — Genesis 12:10–20
Abraham had Ishmael with Hagar, bypassing Sarah — Genesis 16:1–4
Pharaoh ordered all male Hebrew infants to be murdered — Exodus 2
Esau attempted to usurp Jacob’s blessing from Isaac — Genesis 27
Pharaoh attempted to destroy Israel backed up against the Red Sea — Exodus 10
Israel decided to worship the Golden Calf at Mt. Sinai — Exodus 32:24
Moab tried to destroy Israel and stop them from entering Canaan — Numbers 22
The Canaanites amassed all their armies to destroy the Israelites — Joshua 11
The surrounding nations tried to destroy Israel during the time of the Judges — Judges 16
The Assyrian army destroyed Israel and tried to wipe out Judah — 2 Kings 17
The Babylonian army destroyed the Temple and Jerusalem — 2 Chronicles 38
Haman attempted to destroy all the Jews throughout the Persian Empire — Esther 3
Syrian forces tried to Hellenize Judea under Antiochus Epiphanes — Daniel 8
The Roman army destroyed Judea and Jerusalem twice (70 AD and 135 AD) — Luke 21
The Jewish people were scattered and persecuted throughout the world for 2,000 years — Luke 21:24
Events in Modern History
Hitler organized the Holocaust and destroyed over six million Jews.
The Jews attempted to return to Israel against extensive international opposition led by Great Britain.
Israel declared its independence on May 14,1948 and one day later on May 15 was invaded by Egypt, Jordan, Iraq and Syria.
Israel was invaded two more times in 1967 and 1973 by all its surrounding neighbors.
Israel has been disrupted by numerous intifadas from Palestinians and Jihadists.
Hamas has hurled tens of thousands of rockets from Gaza into Israel.
From Bible prophecy, we understand that there is no let-up in Satan’s campaign to destroy Israel.
Antichrist breaks his treaty with Israel, and invades the Holy land at the mid-point of the Tribulation — Zech. 14:1-2; Matt. 24:15-21
Satan is cast out of Heaven and attempts to destroy Israel in the wilderness — Revelation 12:13–17
Antichrist brings the armies of the world against Jerusalem and Israel in Armageddon — Zech. 12:1–3
Satan attempts to destroy the Holy City after the Millennial reign of Christ — Revelation 20
For Satan, the destruction of Israel is a matter of self-preservation. Ultimately, the survival of Israel results in the eternal damnation of Satan. How can this be? Because when Israel repents and nationally invites the Lord Jesus Christ to be its Redeemer, that generation of Israel will be saved, and Satan’s plan to destroy the Jews will finally be defeated.
Christ will return to the Earth, destroy Antichrist and his armies at Armageddon, establish His Kingdom over Israel and the world for 1,000 years, and then cast the still rebellious Satan into the Lake of Fire forever and ever. (Rev. 20:10)
The key is that Israel must survive to receive Christ nationally as their own Messiah. As Jesus said when He lamented over Jerusalem at His First Coming:
For I say to you, from now on you shall not see Me until you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord’!
From Satan’s point of view, he must keep Israel from surviving the point when they will be ready to receive Jesus as their Messiah.
Satan wants to destroy Israel so that he can rule the world from Jerusalem and keep God from sending him to eternal damnation. But God will not allow Satan to destroy His chosen people. Israel is the apple of God’s eye and will survive just as God promised!
Who or What is The Beast of Revelation?
Looking Behind the Curtain
Satan’s wrath sits heavily upon humanity because he is the destroyer and he knows his time is short.
America is just beginning to bear the brunt and I’m not confident it will ever get better. Satan’s wrath is steeped in hatred against God and God’s children and especially Israel.
God’s wrath, by contrast, is the ultimate expression of His absolute love for mankind.
To prepare for class this Tuesday, I want to look at the identity of this ferocious BEAST and discover some of the meaning behind it’s heavy portrait symbolism.
I hope it will spark your interest to study it more as it’s one of the largest topics in the book of Revelation.
When John first saw this imposing caricature, it must have been a stunner!
What Is the Seven-Headed Leopard Beast of Revelation 13?
The beast with seven heads and 10 horns introduced in Revelation 13 represents Satan’s eighth and final empire: The Turkey-led Ottoman Caliphate.
11 The beast that was, and is not, is himself also the eighth, and is of the seven.
Let’s take a closer look at a few of his key features to get a better understanding of the nature of the beast.
* It has authority, power, and a throne, which point to its being a political entity – 13:2.
* God points out its blasphemy 3 times in 8 verses indicating it’s deeply connected to a religious system in addition to being a political entity – 13:1,5-6
* It combines features of the beasts described in Daniel 7:2-8 showing that it’s a future empire in Satan’s line of anti-Semitic empires (Da. 7:17).
* It ascends “out of the sea” (13:1), which is symbolic of the turbulent masses of Gentile nations – Rev. 17:15
“Seven Heads and Ten Horns”
The key to understanding the “seven heads” of the beast is given in Revelation 17 which says the seven heads are symbolic of “seven kings,” or empires (Rev. 17:9,10).
So the seven heads of the beast of Revelation 13:1 represent Satan’s seven former empires designed to oppress the chosen people and dominate the land of Israel.
The seven heads represent Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, and the Ottoman Empire. One of these former empires will return as the eighth empire.
The ten horns of Revelation 13:1 are also explained in Revelation 17 in verse 12,
12 “The ten horns you saw are ten kings… they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.
Here we see that the ten horns are symbolic of ten kings that form themselves into an empire (beast) having one mind. This is precisely what occurs in the formation of a Caliphate.
Ten Muslim nations willingly surrender their sovereignty as independent kings to form something better and bigger than themselves aka the Islamic Caliphate.
After this empire is formed and established, Antichrist mysteriously appears as the 11th king and wrestles control of the Caliphate to be appointed its ruler or “Caliph” – Dan. 7:24-25.
From all this, we conclude that the seven headed, ten horned beast of Revelation 13 is a symbolic picture, from the imagination of God Himself, representing the coming eighth empire, the last of Satan’s mighty empires to destroy Israel.
The Turkey led Islamic Empire is resurrecting and coming back to life today! Out of the midst of the Middle East chaos the beast will suddenly appear, and the world will never be the same.
God is all powerful. Yet He allows Satan to carry out his deceitful and destructive activities—within certain limits—for a purpose.
At the end of the Millennial Kingdom, Satan is set free!
After 1000 years in solitary confinement the Lord will let Satan, the “snake” of Genesis 3, back in the garden (so to speak) to offer the human race independence from God in order to reveal their hearts.
We learn from the book of Job that Satan plays an important role in God’s plans for mankind. Nothing makes that clearer then the devil’s release from prison at the end of the Millennial Kingdom. The purpose of his release is to “deceive the nations” (Rev. 20:8) one final time.
We will discuss suggestions as to how he accomplishes this in our upcoming class.
During the Kingdom Age, earth is filled with righteousness and there is great prosperity. There have been several generations over the 1000 years. The curse is lifted and man’s lifespan is quite long. There is love, righteousness, joy, and peace. There are no demons harassing anybody.
There is no pornography, there is no abortion, there is no perversion. There is nothing like that in the earth. Then Satan is let back into the garden so to speak. What happens is revealing! Millions of unsaved people born during the Millennial Kingdom choose to follow Satan just like Adam and Eve followed the snake.
There are some important reasons why this happens.
One reason is Satan has not been rehabilitated. You would think after 1000 years in prison he would get humble. He is not. He is more angry than ever.
Another reason is that the demons also become more angry, not more humble. They are not rehabilitated. When given the opportunity, they attack again.
God allows this scenario to be played out to reveal the wickedness of man’s heart and to leave man without excuse (Rom. 1:20). There are people who are saying, “If I only had better circumstances, I would not have sinned like Adam did.” The Lord says, Watch this. I am going to show you. I am going to make the glorious environment of Eden across the whole earth one final time to give man a fresh opportunity.
Then I will let the snake back in the garden like I did with Adam. What happens? Multitudes will choose the snake like great-grandpa Adam did because man loves sin.
Even though Christ dwells on earth in all His millennial glory and man sees the glories of redemption, the majority of mankind, at the end of the Millennium, still choose sin instead of the Savior.
This is the final lesson God wants to leave with mankind for all eternity. Given the best opportunity and perfect environment to surrender to Jesus Christ, man chose the wages of sin.
