“But I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there.”
2 Chronicles 6:6

Based on previous experience, America should prepare themselves for some type of major disaster thanks to Joe Biden’s speech to the world at the UN General Assembly in NY yesterday.

In the past, whenever an America President puts pressure on Israel to divide the land it doesn’t go well. And this speech was strongly anti-Israel and pro-Palestinian so hang on to your hat!

Joe Biden addressed the United Nations, telling them that,

“the land of Israel must be divided to fulfill the Two State Solution for a Palestinian state!”

The slow but steady tick, tick of the Bible prophecy clock continues it’s march through the last days until it reaches a resolution.

WWI prepared the land for the Jews with the defeat of Ottoman control over the promised land. WWII prepared the Jews for the land, with God’s chosen people realizing that the only safe place on earth would be their ancient homeland where they could control their own destiny.

And that same land, right now, is being pulled out from under them for the creation of an Allah worshipping, Palestinian terror state. If left up to Biden and his cronies, the Two-State Solution would end up

more like the “Final Solution.”

Joe Biden: US to work for Israeli normalization and two states.

FROM THE JERUSALEM POST: The United States plans to seek both the normalization of the Jewish state with its Arab neighbors and a two-state resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, US President Joe Biden told the United Nations on Tuesday.

Biden set out his foreign policy agenda as one of the first speakers to address the high-level portion of the 78th opening session of the UN General Assembly. He focused on the importance of regional cooperation as a blue-print to solve global crises and conflict, including in the Middle East.

God is getting ready to do an amazing thing, Isaiah 28 calls it His ‘strange work’ and His ‘strange act’. What is that? The LORD is going to allow His chosen people the Jews and His holy city of Jerusalem to fall under the control of the enemy that the “time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jer. 30:7) may be fulfilled. We are fast closing in on the time of the Tribulation and everything we’re seeing is pointing in that direction.

So lift up your eyes and be ready for the coming of the Lord may be sooner than you think!

WILL AMERICA STAND WITH ISRAEL?

“The land which you cross over to possess is a land for which the Lord your God cares; the eyes of the Lord your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year.”
Deuteronomy 11:11-12

As World War II still raged, thoughtful men and women were thinking about the radically realigned postwar world soon to come. There was special focus on the world’s Jews and a possible homeland for them.

In April of 1943, a relatively obscure US Senator from Missouri drew a direct link between that problem and the United States. “Today — not tomorrow — we must do all that is humanly possible to provide a haven and place of safety for all those who can be grasped from the hands of the Nazi butchers.” He added, “This is not a Jewish problem. It is an American problem — and we must and we will face it squarely and honorably.”

Two years later, God sovereignly removed President Roosevelt and that little known Senator — Harry S. Truman — would take over as President of the United States.

His presidency was marked by major events and major decisions. Those included the end of World War II, history’s only use of atomic weapons in war, the formation of the United Nations, and the beginning of the Cold War.

But from a biblical perspective, the biggest had to do with his commitment “to provide a haven and place of safety” for the Jewish people.

Isaiah 66:8 speaks of a nation being born in a day. In retrospect, we can see that prophecy was fulfilled as a direct reference to the birth of modern Israel on May 14, 1948. Life Magazine described it. “In the all-Jewish city of Tel Aviv, Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion ended nearly 2,000 years of Jewish longing for a homeland with a great blow of his fist upon the speakers’ table. ‘The name of our state shall be Israel,’ he intoned, and a new nation was born.”

Just eleven minutes after the nation’s rebirth, President Harry Truman became the first world leader to officially recognize it. Truman later said, “I had faith in Israel even before it was established. I knew it was based on the love of freedom, which has been the guiding star of the Jewish people since the days of Moses.”

This began an extraordinary relationship between

the United States and Israel. Not coincidentally, the US then entered an era of prosperity unprecedented in world history. When God first told Abraham about the land, He also said in Genesis 12:3, “I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
Turning Away

But today, Republicans and Democrats are openly questioning the special relationship between Israel and the United States. Some question US aid to Israel, not understanding that Israel is a strategic outpost of democracy in the Middle East. Help for Israel is help for us.

For instance, in 1981, the Israeli Air Force destroyed Iraqi’s nuclear reactor. Just ten years later In 1991, US forces would face Iraq on the battlefield. Because of Israel’s intervention ten years before, the US did not face a nuclear Iraq.

Now 30 years later, under the radical presidency of Joe Biden and his godless cronies, our country has turned from God and our once great nation sees little need for the Jewish State when in reality,

America needs Israel, more than Israel needs America!

Harry Truman, Bible-believing president, enabled ‘Israel’s modern Exodus’ 76 years ago!

The president believed “I am Cyrus. I am Cyrus.”

Whereas Moses played the key role in the first exodus and King Cyr

us in the second, the third was coordinated under the 33rd President of the United States, Harry S. Truman, who took office on April 12, 1945.

That day was a turning point for both Truman and the Jewish nation, as it began a process that freed Jews from nearly 2,000 years of exile and slavery in Nazi Germany, also fulfilling Amos’ prophecy of Jewish permanent settlement in the land of Israel.
Associated with this promise of God is one of the most interesting verses in the Bible (Jer. 32:41), which is, in fact, the only passage in the Bible when God says He is doing something “with all his heart:”
.
“I will rejoice in doing them good and will assuredly plant them in this land with all my heart and soul.”

“Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain?
The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together
against the Lord and against his anointed, saying,
Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.”

Israel Strikes Terror Target

In a rare daytime strike, Israel destroyed a Hezbollah site in Tartus in western Syria. Three terrorists were killed in the missile attack which originated from the Mediterranean. Israel, per usual, declined to comment on the event. Then, that same night, Israel struck again, flying over Lebanon to reach the Shariat Airbase in Homs. The base and other headquarters were damaged.

Mossad Thwarts Attacks on Jews Around the World

Mossad director David Barnea stated in a speech that his agency has thwarted 27 attacks against Israelis and Jews around the world over the past year. Countries where these attacks were planned included Cyprus, Tanzania, India, and others. “We are witnessing a significant increase in attempts to attack Jews and Israelis worldwide, and as we speak, we continue to track Iranian and proxy teams to prevent them from killing Jews and Israelis,” said Barnea. In his speech, he also explained how Israel was able to interdict a deal in which Iran would sell Russia short-range and long-range missiles to be used against Ukraine.

Israel Signs Wheat Deal with Muslim Countries

Israel signed a historic wheat deal with two Muslim countries, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. In exchange for wheat imports, Israel will provide these countries with advanced agricultural technologies. While a great deal for all three nations, the one country that will not be happy about this is Russia. Currently, Israel is a major importer of Russia

n wheat. This agreement could reduce the volume of imports from the Russians. This is just one more reason for Moscow to be unhappy with Israel.

Massive Quake Rocks Morocco

Last Friday evening, the ground in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco began to shake. Buildings collapsed, landslides were triggered, roads were blocked, and people were killed. So far, the death toll from the earthquake has reached 2,901 with 5,530 injured, making it the deadliest North African earthquake in 63 years. Israel has offered to send search-and-rescue teams, joining the numerous nations who are willing to help in the quake’s aftermath.

Cyclone Daniel Devastates Libya

The Mediterranean storm, designated Daniel, has left large portions of Libya underwater. Worst hit is the city of Derna which was deluged when two dams collapsed in the mountains above the city. Whole neighborhoods were washed away in a moment. The Libyan Minister of Health expects the death toll to reach 10,000 and the missing to be ten times that number. Meanwhile, flooding continues in areas around the world: Shatoujiao, Shenzhen, China; Hong Kong; Yangchun, Guangdong, China; Gateshead, England; Shanghai, China; Molina de Segura, Murcia province, Spain; Weda Bay, Maluku, Indonesia; along with many other locations.

In Armenia/Azerbaijan Conflict, Iran is the One to Blink

The slow burn between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the disputed autonomo

us oblast of Nagorno-Karabakh threatened to burst into flames this past weekend. Both sides raced troops toward their joint border, while calling on their allies to back them up. Iran threatened Azerbaijan saying they better back down. Turkey and Pakistan immediately told Iran that they best stay in their lane. Eventually, Iran backed down under pressure not only from outside the country, but likely also from the 20 million of their citizens of Azeri origin. Russia has also been involved in the past on the Armenian side, but they declined to get involved having enough problems of their own already in Ukraine. After a lot of saber-rattling, Armenia and Azerbaijan reached an agreement which should calm things back down, at least for now.

US Pays Iran $6 Billion for Hostages

The news media will sugarcoat the deal that the Biden administration has just made with Tehran’s Islamic regime saying that they simply waived sanctions on $6 billion as part of what is really just a prisoner swap. Our guys for their guys – oh, and $6 billion. In reality, everyone recognizes this for what it is. Tehran took US citizens as hostages, and Washington just paid $6 billion ransom to get them back. “Wait,” say Biden’s apologists, “the agreement is that this money will be used for humanitaria

n purposes.” But no one believes that, not even Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi. “This money belongs to the Iranian people, the Iranian government,” said Raisi, “so the Islamic Republic of Iran will decide what to do with this money.” Could it go toward their uranium stockpile, which the IAEA said is now within one month of having enough enriched uranium for six bombs and four months away from having enough for ten? Or might it go toward the airport that Iran is building in Lebanon – just 20km away from the Israeli border – which they will use to launch terrorist attacks? The ayatollahs are going to be able to check a lot of items off their to-do list with $6 billion.

Biden and Modi Announce New Railway and Trade System Connecting Asia with the West

new railway and trade system could better unite India and Asia with the West, according to US President Joe Biden, Indian President Narendra Modi, and others at the G20 Summit in New Delhi, India. The route would pass through Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Israel before moving into Europe. This would essentially make Israel a substitute trade way in place of using the congested Suez Canal.

North Korea May or May Not have Launched their First Nuclear Sub

North Korea launched its first fully operational tactical nuclear attack submarine. South Korea immediately attempted to rain on Kim Jong-un’s underwater parade by saying that “fully operational” might be a bit of an exaggeration. The implication is that “somewhat operational” or “at least it doesn’t sink” might be better descriptors. Soon after leaving the unveiling of the sub, the North Korean leader hopped on his personal train and headed northeast to Vladivostok, Russia. Once there, he met Russia President Vladimir Putin at a cosmodrome for talks. The expectation is that Putin will ask Kim for artillery and ammunition

, while Kim will want technology in return. This is the first time the two neighbors have met since 2019.

God is in Control

Amid the many end-time crises in our own country and the troubles surrounding Israel, the Lord’s church must not give in to the deception, chaos, and lawlessness that we see all around us. To do so often leads to anger, despair, and depression. We must remember that God is in control.

Our duty is to keep one

eye on the world, but the other squarely focused on the Word of God. It is from the latter

that we may experience comfort, hope, and peace during society’s insanity. “LOOKING FOR JESUS, THE AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF OUR FAITH.”

Palestinians Demand Territorial Concessions from Israel in Exchange for Saudi deal

9/9/23  By Tim Buck

“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem.”Zechariah 12:2

Note: You can read part one HERE and part two HERE

The Palestinian Authority in Ramallah presents its list of conditions for supporting US-brokered peace deal between Israel and Saudi Arabia.

The Palestinian Authority (PA) recently presented a list of demands for Israel, Saudi Arabia and the United States to fulfill for it to approve a deal that would see Riyadh establish diplomatic relations with Jerusalem while receiving a NATO-like defense pact from Washington and a civilian nuclear program.

In a meeting with Saudi National Security Adviser Musaed al-Aiban, top PA officials, including President Mahmoud Abbas’ handpicked heir-apparent, Hussein al-Sheikh, discussed their desires, which followed closely to those leaked over a week ago from a meeting they held with US Assistant Secretary of State Barbara Leaf in Amman.
According to a BBC report citing a “senior Palestinian official familiar with the discussions,” these included concessions from all three countries:

  • The PA wants the Saudis to renew their annual $200 million in financial support, which had been greatly reduced in 2016 and then ceased in 2020 due to Riyadh’s displeasure over Palestinian corruption and non-governability over parts of its territory.
  • Ramallah is also demanding the U.S. force Israel back to the negotiating table, starting off from the point talks broke down in 2014 in Annapolis, Maryland, when, for example, Israel was reportedly willing to give up sovereignty in the

Jordan Valley as long as the IDF could have a presence there for an unidentified period of time in order to ensure Israel’s security.

  • Another demand made of the Americans was to reopen their consulate in Jerusalem that served as Washington’s informal representation to the PA, which president Trump had closed.

According to a report last week in the Times of Israel, the reported laundry list for Washington was even longer. It included Washington’s supporting recognition of a Palestinian state at the UN, and canceling legislation such as the so-called “Pay for Slay” law that proscribes funding the PA directly until it stops paying generous salaries to Palestinians imprisoned in Israel for having committed terrorist attacks.

While the Saudis have already offered to restore financial aid, and the U.S. would probably not be averse to hosting peace negotiations once more, the embassy reopening would legally depend on Israel’s permission, which even its previous unity government had refused to give.

But the thorniest demands are those being made of Israel. The Palestinians are insisting that Israel “completely” stop all settlement growth in Judea and Samara, and also transfer control over parts of Area C to the PA, thereby turning them into Area B and effectively enlarging its territory.

Meanwhile, although several top American officials have been flying into Riyadh for discussions regarding the agreement, the talks are far from reaching completion on any side.

Make The Lord
Center of Your Life

According to Ezekiel, God placed Israel in the center of the nations,“This is what the Sovereign LORD says: This is Jerusalem, which I have set in the center of the nations, with countries all around her. Ez. 5:5.

After placing Israel as the navel of the earth, then God placed Jerusalem in the center of Israel and after that He placed the glorious Temple Mount in the center of Jerusalem. The center of the Temple Mount is the Temple and the centerpiece of the Temple is the Holy of Holies where the ark of the covenant takes center stage as a picture of all the precious ministries of Jesus who would shed His blood in order to be central in our lives every day!

When the Temple of Solomon was sanctified (2 Chron. 7:1-3), and God moved in, the Shekinah glory of God filled the place, the priests were prostrated, and the Spirit brought a holy hush to the sanctuary. As the worshippers assembled no one was able to stand because the presence of God was so powerful.

Thus the Light was set on the lampstand, and the city set on God’s holy hill that all the world might walk in its light.

“Hasten and come, all you surrounding nations,
and gather yourselves there… for I will sit to judge all the surrounding nations.”

Joel 3:11-12

The Saudi Crown Prince, Muhammad bin Salmon (MBS) “prefers a deterring – rather than a deterred – Israel.”
A conclusion of an Israeli-Saudi-Palestinian-US (peace or normalization) accord requires the U.S. State Department to recognize:

– The inherent constraints of the inter-Arab arena;
– The predominance of the Saudi – over Palestinian – interest;
– The intra-Arab Palestinian track record;
– The critical role of Israel’s posture of deterrence.

Dangers of Inter-Arab Arena

Any accord would have to acknowledge the unique features of the inter-Arab arena, which has demonstrated – since the 7th century – violence, intolerance, fragmentation, local over national identity/loyalty, no peaceful-coexistence, no democracy, but despotic rulers, who ascend to – and lose – power through “the bullet” rather than the ballot. Hence, the tenuous and unpredictable nature of rulers, their policies and accords.

MBS, played a key role in orchestrating the Abraham Accords and has displayed exceptional courage and tenacity in modernizing Saudi Arabia, religiously, culturally, economically and educationally. However, he operates in the unpredictable, Arab environment, as evidenced by domestic and external threats surrounding Saudi Arabia like Iran, and including a power struggle within the royal family, and the intensified tension between MBS and the puritan-like Wahabbi Islamic establishment in central and southwestern Saudi Arabia, which was accepted until recently as the leading authority on Islam and an essential ally of the House of Saud since 1744.

Saudi Vision 2030 is an aggressive government launched plan by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that includes a future economic zone and a $500B “smart city” that aims to reshape the kingdom to achieve the goal of increased diversification economically, socially and culturally, in line with the vision of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.

Saudi Interests First

Saudi – not Palestinian – interests have guided MBS’ policy toward Israel, which he views as a vital ally, militarily, technologically and diplomatically, in the pursuit of his ambitious “Vision 2030.” This vision aims at leveraging the Saudi geography and wealth, transforming the kingdom into a regional and global financial, military and diplomatic power. Israeli technology especially plays an important role in the building of MBS’ future city NEOM.

MBS has no illusions about the volcanic nature of the Middle East, including his assessment of the lethal threat posed by Iran’s Ayatollahs, irrespective of the resumption of diplomatic ties. He considers Israel as the most reliable ally in the face of mutual threats (e.g., Iran’s Ayatollahs and Muslim Brotherhood terrorists), especially against the backdrop of the eroded US’ posture of deterrence.

Israel’s technological capabilities are sought by MBS

in order to diversify the energy-reliant Saudi economy and expand sources of national income.

MBS is aware of Israel’s positive stature on Capitol Hill (despite the antagonistic radical wing of the Democratic Party), which possesses the power of the purse and is co-equal to the Executive Branch in finalizing the sale of advanced military systems and defense pacts.

The recent Palestinian inter-Arab track record – especially subversion and terrorism against Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon and Kuwait – has become a role model of rogue conduct and ingratitude. It has determined MBS’ attitude toward the Palestinian issue. The Crown Prince is also aware of the Palestinian intimate relationships with terror organizations in the Middle East (especially Hamas and the Moslem Brotherhood), Europe, Africa and Latin America, as well as with Iran’s Ayatollahs, North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba and the Soviet Bloc.
MBS realizes that a Palestinian state would add fuel to the Middle East fire, and he therefore limits his support of the Palestinians mostly to talk, refraining from significant actions. He’s not willing to sacrifice Saudi interests on the Palestinian altar and will not tolerate a Palestinian veto power over Saudi relations with Israel, which he perceives as an essential ally in the pursuit of “Vision 2030.”

Israel’s posture of deterrence has induced MBS to seek closer ties with the Jewish State. He appreciates Israel flexing its military muscle against Iran in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and even on Iranian soil, and Israel’s war on Palestinian and Islamic terrorism.

Israel’s posture of deterrence is upgraded by its determination to fend off U.S. pressure when it comes to critical national security matters, such as the bombing of Iraq’s and Syria’s nuclear reactors, which spared Saudi Arabia the wrath of a nuclear Saddam Hussein and a nuclearized civil war in Syria.

MBS prefers a deterring – rather than a deterred – Israel.

Keep the Mountains, 6-Day War

Israel’s posture of deterrence has been substantially upgraded since winning the 6-DAY WAR in 1967, upon regaining control of the mountain ridges of the Golan Heights, Samaria and Judea (the West Bank), which constitute the cradle of Jewish history, religion and culture, as well as the minimal security requirements in the volcanic and shifty Middle East.

A retreat from the mountain ridges of Judea and Samaria – which are a fixed asset of national security – in return for an accord with Saudi Arabia – would transform Israel from a war- a

nd terror-deterring country for the U.S. to a war- and terror-inducing country and a burden on America. It would exacerbate Middle East instability, enhance Iran’s Ayatollahs, along with Russia and China, while dealing a blow to vital U.S. interests.

In fact, major waves of Palestinian terrorism erupted following dramatic Israeli gestures/concessions, such as 1993 Oslo, the 2000 withdrawal/flight from Lebanon and the 2005 “disengagement” from Gaza. But interestingly no significant terrorism followed such actions as the reunification of Jerusalem, the application of Israeli law to the Golan Heights, the construction of Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria and the destruction of Iraq’s and Syria’s nuclear reactors. It seems the anti-Israel Arab world respects peace through Israel’s strength.

Can Biden Succeed

The looming question is how deceived and stricken is the Biden administration foreign policy? Is the U.S. State Department aware that Saudi Arabia’s policy is driven by Middle East reality and its own interests, not by Western conventional wisdom and Palestinian interests?

Is the State Department cognizant of the fact that while Saudi Arabia would rather avoid a Zionist sovereignty in the “abode of Islam,” it respects Israel’s history and security-driven posture of deterrence, and its willingness to defy U.S. and global pressure?

Is the State Department mindful of the fact that the Saudi Crown Prince is preoccupied with “Vision 2030,” aware of Israel’s potential contribution to this mega-vision, and therefore encouraged the Abraham Accords, while concluding unprecedented commercial and defense agreements with Israel?

Is the State Department aware that Saudi frustration with the U.S. diplomatic option toward Iran is pushing the Saudis closer to China and Russia?

Saudi-Israel Agreement: Precursor To Antichrist’s Covenant With Israel?

Saudi-Israel Agreement: Precursor To Antichrist’s Covenant With Israel?

Saudi-Israel Agreement: Precursor To Antichrist’s Covenant With Israel?

8/29/23  By Tim Buck

And he, [Antichrist] shall confirm the covenant with many for one week [seven years] and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate…”
Daniel 9:27

One of the key events of the end-times is a coming peace treaty between Israel and her neighbors which, according to this verse, will be brokered by Antichrist.

Antichrist is going to make a covenant or treaty many nations along with the Palestinians and Israel for a seven-year period of time.

In the middle of that seven years [3.5 years], he will invade Israel [Zech. 14:1-3] and put an end to sacrifices and offerings by capturing Israel’s newly rebuilt temple and killing God’s special Two-Witnesses [Rev. 11].

Confirm A Covenant

The first part of the above
passage tells us that he will “confirm” a covenant with Israel for seven years. Bible translations differ, saying he will “make a covenant,” “compel a covenant,” or “make a strong covenant.” Some take it as a covenant that already exists, while others suggest Antichrist will compel this covenant, bringing the parties to the table and giving them a take-it-or-leave-it deal.

Whatever the exact meaning, there’s one thing that’s clear: Antichrist is going to forge a sweeping peace agreement between Israel and her neighbors that’s going to have to do with the Temple Mount area and allowing Israel to renew their sacrificial system. The signing of this covenant will mark the start of the seven-year Tribulation.

Is Peace Possible

Recent events strikingly foreshadow this coming peace compact. August 13th was the third anniversary of the announcement of the Abraham Accords, which were ratified the following month. These arrangements heralded a new beginning of peace in the Middle East as several Arab nations agreed to normalize relations with Israel.

The previous five American presidents tried everything they could with Palestinian leaders and failed. Finally, that streak was broken by President Trump with the Abraham Accords, which resulted in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan all signing peace treaties and normalized relations with Israel. That added to Israel’s peace treaty with Egypt in 1979 and Jordan in 1994, bringing the current total to six neighboring nations.

But the biggest prize of the Middle East is clearly Saudi Arabia. Prime Minister Netanyahu has called the normalization of relations with Saudi Arabia one of the primary reasons he sought to return to power in Israel.

Last week, a top Israeli diplomat said that a normalization agreement would be “a historic opportunity for a peace process that will change the face of the Middle East and the whole world.” That’s a dramatic statement in light of Bible prophecy.

Headlines

A lot of headlines about this are very striking to me:

Times of Israel — “Foreign Minister Cohen to Arabic outlet: Israel will make gestures to Palestinians for Saudi deal.” Israel is willing to make some concessions to the Palestinians to make this deal happen.

Times of Israel — “Any deal must be done before Biden leaves office, Israel reportedly tells Saudis.” They believe this is going to have to happen before President Biden leaves office, which obviously, doesn’t give a lot of time.

Times of Israel — “Leading Saudi columnist says it’s ‘highly likely’ peace with Israel is possible.”

Wall Street Journal —  “Saudis Agree with U.S. on Path to Normalize Kingdom’s Ties With Israel” subtitle, “Officials are negotiating details of agreement they hope to cement within nine-to-12 months, though obstacles remain.”

Before March 2024

Some say the US wants to wrap all of this up by next March.
You can imagine the political reasons. This would be a huge feather in the cap for President Biden during his run for reelection to be able to be in the middle of this deal or take credit for it.

Of course the major obstacle, as always, is the Palestinian question. What’s going to happen with the Palestinians? What’s Israel going to have to give up? What’s Saudi Arabia going to demand to have normalized relations?

Jordan Move Aside

Last Saturday, Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Jordan presented his credentials to begin serving as Saudi Arabia’s first-ever non-resident ambassador to the State of Palestine.

This unprecedented power move is a signal to Jordan that Saudi Arabia, who now controls Islam’s two holiest sites of Mecca and Medina, feels it’s time they take control of Islam’s third most holy site also which is the al-Aqsa
Mosque on the Temple Mount.

Peace With the Palestinians

In addition to signaling that the Saudi’s want control of the Temple Mount to Jordan, Saudi Arabia also appointed its first envoy to the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank.

This is the second bombshell, a move seen as a signal to Israel and the United States that if Saudi Arabia and Israel are to normalize relations it will take a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians to get it accomplished. Therefore, Saudi Arabia has now taken the lead to establish a legal channel in helping negotiate peace between the Palestinian’s and Israel.

Saudi Arabia, Head of Islam

Keep in mind that Saudi Arabia is the head of Islam and the highest Muslim authority on earth and the caretaker of the Quran and the Islamic holy sites. It’s also fair to say the Quran is not kind to the Jewish people… that’s an understatement. So the very notion of Saudi Arabia making peace with Israel is stunning in itself. But add to that, these two announcements and we can begin to see a path for how Israel would be allowed to build their temple on the Temple Mount. If Israel and Saudi Arabia establish formal and friendly relations and Saudi Arabia controls the Temple Mount, then for the first time a mutual negotiation can be made for Israel’s Temple to share the Temple Mount with the Muslim holy sites.

Sharing the Temple Mount

A sharing relationship for Israel’s temple on the Temple Mount is exactly what the Apostle John suggests will happen in Revelation 11:1-2. John describes Israel’s new temple site as not having enough room for the outer courts causing them to share it with the Gentiles [pagans].

The fact that Saudi Arabia has placed an envoy in the Palestinian Authority and has signaled to Jordan they want control of the Temple Mount opens the door to a peace agreement between Israel and Saudi Arabia and a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians and provides a way for Israel to build their Temple on the Temple Mount.

There are a lot of moving parts to this agreement. The US additionally wants Saudi Arabia to roll back some of its growing ties with China, which of course, would help the United States.

This peace process may be complicated and fraught with difficulties, but the fact that it is even being discussed is astounding. Who would have believed a few years ago that the head of Islam would want peace with the Jewish State? This was never even a possibility! But now here we are, with this prophetic scenario lining up.

Next Event, the Rapture

The next event on God’s prophetic calendar is the rapture of the church. Sometime after the rapture, and after the emergence of the ten-king empire, Antichrist is going to catapult onto the world scene, and his major breakthrough will be to broker this comprehensive peace deal for Israel that allows the Jews to rebuild the temple and begin offering sacrifices. That path is now getting much closer which means the Tribulation is getting closer!

The rapture will move the final pieces into place. Antichrist will rise into the chaos and aftermath of the rapture to bring this Middle East peace deal. We are witnessing the setup for that coming treaty right before our eyes.

I don’t know about you, but I consider it a great privilege to live in these times. It’s incredible to see the things that are prophesied so clearly in the Bible. My prayer for myself and all of us is that we will live faithfully in light of our Lord’s imminent return!
