About Israel
What an amazing few days it has been in Israel! The IDF rescued the first living hostage from Hamas’s underground tunnels in Gaza. And wouldn’t you know it? He was an Arab Muslim. Qaid Farhan Alkadi was at his job in a packing house in Kibbutz Magen on October 7 when he was taken by Hamas terrorists. For more than ten months he was held as a hostage, malnourished and mistreated. But then some IDF and Shin Bet forces operating in the tunnels discovered him and brought him to safety. All of Israel is now celebrating!
Of course, Hamas quickly reported that they had released him, but that is not what the IDF or what Alkadi himself is saying. Satan is the great liar! The Bedouin emphatically reported on the harsh treatment that the hostages receive, and he pleaded with the Israeli government to do whatever it takes to get them out. It didn’t take long for him to have the opportunity to go to the top of Israel’s government. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu himself called Alkadi to celebrate, saying, “Our brother has come home! Our brother has returned!”
This is what the antisemites who march against Israel and criticize the war don’t get. Israel is not making this a racial war. They are not fighting the Arabs or, more specifically, the Palestinians. Israel is fighting against the terrorist group Hamas. Throughout the war, they have gone above and beyond to warn civilians of the actions they were going to have to take to root out the terrorist cancer. No other nation has ever done so much to protect the innocent. Have civilians been killed and wounded? Sadly, yes. But that is because Hamas has persisted in using the Palestinian population as human shields, whether it is in neighborhoods, schools, or hospitals.
In the south, Israel fights Hamas. In the north, Israel fights Hezbollah. In the West Bank, Israel fights both terrorist organizations, along with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) and other terrorist groups. In contrast, the terrorists in all those areas fight the Jews. They are the ones who make this racial. The protesters around the world also make this racial. But Israel is not in a fight against the Arabs. But these terrorists and antisemites are in a fight against the Jewish people. That is a big difference.
Unfortunately for them, God has made it clear that targeting Israel is not a healthy choice. Even when He allowed other nations to bring harm against the Jews, it was only for a season and for a purpose. When the time was past, His arms were open to His repentant people, but His hand was against those nations who followed their sinful inclinations to persecute Israel. Both the Jewish people and the church can take great comfort in knowing that God never fully turns His back on those He calls His own.
I will lift up my eyes to the hills—From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
Psalm 121:1-4
The West Bank,
Operation Summer Camps
While the media has focused on the war in Gaza and the battles in the north, there is a third front that is less talked about. Terrorist attacks by Arabs coming from the West Bank have increased exponentially since October 7 – most (but not all) attributed to Hamas, the PIJ, or the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade (AAMB). Yesterday, the IDF moved to tamp down that activity by implementing Operation Summer Camps. This is the largest operation in Judea and Samaria in 20 years and is aimed at the Iranian effort to arm and train terrorists in the West Bank. Already, as of Wednesday morning, ten terrorists were killed, and more are being taken out each day. As always, the IDF is taking precautions to protect civilians. Before the action began, residents of the Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarm were warned to evacuate so that they could avoid the coming action. Israel cannot allow the terrorists to perpetrate another October 7 massacre from the West Bank. Even after they move into Lebanon, they must make sure that Judea, Samaria, and the northern Jordan Valley remain an extremely high priority.
Hezbollah Strikes the Chickens
Early this past Sunday, Hezbollah launched its promised strike across the southern border, and the Israelis paid dearly. At least the Israeli chickens did. In a major barrage, 230 rockets and 20 drones were fired toward Israel – the rockets to the north and the drones toward the center. Unfortunately for Hezbollah, the flying explosives missed the military facilities they were aimed at. Instead, they blew the heck out of a chicken coop. They’re still waiting for a condemnatory response from PETA.
The fact that only poultry was damaged by their paltry attempt didn’t stop Hezbollah from taking a victory lap. In a speech following the attack, Hassan Nasrallah, the head of the terrorist group, celebrated by alleging that they fired twenty more rockets than they had originally intended. That is hard to believe. Hezbollah planned their attack to begin at 5:00 am.
Learning of this fact, the IDF, at 4:30 am, sent 100 Israeli fighter jets peremptorily across the northern border into Lebanon, hitting 200 launching sites before they had a chance to send their missiles. If not for this action, it was very likely that more than just chickens would have died. Following the attack by Hezbollah, Israel pounded the terrorist group’s sites in a major airstrike. These strikes have continued through the week, mostly focusing on the Baalbek region.
Gaza and Sinwar
The fight continues in Gaza. The enemy is deeply entrenched and there are miles and miles of tunnels. As Israel simultaneously fights above ground and below ground, the soldiers must be incredibly careful. First, there are thousands of vulnerable citizens being used as human shields.
But secondly, there are still 103 hostages being held, although 33 of them have been confirmed dead. According to a report by the Jewish Chronicle, Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip and the terrorist organization’s newly minted chairman of the Political Bureau, Yahya Sinwar, surrounds himself with 22 handcuffed hostages. Apparently, Israel has had several chances to eliminate him, but they held back due to the hostage risk.
U.S. Warns of Iranian Threat Against Israel
We’ve all been wondering when Iran’s retaliation will come against Israel for the targeted killing of chairman of the Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. The ayatollahs have been holding it over the Jewish state’s head for weeks.
Now, John Kirby, national security spokesman for the White House, has said that it could come soon, and warned Iran to reconsider carrying their plan out. “Our messaging to Iran is consistent, has been and will stay consistent,” he said. “One, don’t do it. There’s no reason to escalate this. There’s no reason to potentially start some sort of all-out regional war. And number two, we are going to be prepared to defend Israel if it comes to that.”
Ukraine vs. Russia
Ukraine continues its push into Russia, using drones to reach deep into the enemy nation. Yesterday, they attacked the Ryazan hydroelectric plant approximately 200 km from Moscow. Russia is fighting back in a huge way.
On Monday, the Russians launched 127 missiles and 109 attack drones aimed at Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. At least four people were killed, and in Kyiv there were seven or more explosions reported. One missile hit the road over the Kyiv hydroelectric plant. If that plant took major damage, it could mean severe flooding in and around Kyiv.
France Arrests Telegram’s Pavel Durov
In an action that illustrates the continued deterioration of free speech in Europe, Telegram founder and CEO Pavel Durov was arrested Saturday by French police in Paris. The charges against him are that his social media platform is being used for illicit activity including drug trafficking and child porn. The move by French authorities set off a firestorm of protest by free speech advocates, while opponents of free speech thought “Phew, I’m glad it was the French who did it.”
On Wednesday, he was released from his temporary hold, but that doesn’t mean that all his problems are over. He was immediately sent for questioning, while it is being decided whether to put him under indictment. If he is formally charged, he can end up going back into detention. It will be interesting to see if Russia, St. Kitts and Nevis, or the United Arab Emirates, all of whose citizenships he holds along with his French citizenship, steps up to put pressure for his release.

Disaster Averted by a Miracle
Last week, a clean-shaven, normal looking man, Jaafar Mona from Nablus, walked along Lehi Road in Tel Aviv. On his back was a backpack that looked like any other backpack. What was inside, though, had the potential to kill dozens, if not more. While just ten minutes away from a crowded event at a stadium, the terrorist’s plot was thwarted when the explosive in his backpack prematurely blew up. He was immediately shredded to pieces, while just one bystander was moderately injured.
Hamas quickly took credit for the attempted bombing. As for the early detonation, it seems that the only explanation is that God, is fulfilling His promises to protect the Jewish people. This had all the makings for another horrible massacre but the Lord didn’t allow it to happen. While we don’t know why God steps in at times and holds His hand back at others, our attitude is to trust Him knowing that He will always do what is best. So, all credit for the premature blast goes to You, Lord.
On the flip side of the coin is what happened to the Jewish people on October 7. After watching the Democrat National Convention in Chicago and hearing the chants of “Free, Free Palestine”, it makes one want to round all those people up into an auditorium and show them the heinous violence of these “innocent” Gazans.
We know that it is not all of those who are living in Gaza. But there is a huge majority there who cheered the massacre and only wished that more Israelis had died. The people in Chicago and at the Olympics and in London and all over the world who are wittingly or unwittingly chanting for these perpetrators are brainwashed by an antisemitic ideology that the enemy has spread across the globe. They believe the perpetrators are the victims, and the victims are the perpetrators.
Hezbollah in Lebanon
The conflict between Israel and Lebanon has been very noisy of late. Hezbollah has been launching dozens of rockets towards Israel. On Tuesday, more than 200 projectiles were fired at two IDF positions in the Golan Heights and at other places in northern Israel. The next day, the terrorist group launched more than 50 more. Many of the rockets were directed at and around the area of Katzrin. A number of private homes were hit, and a 30-year-old man was moderately injured.
Israel has been striking back with very precise and targeted fire. Last Saturday, a warehouse containing Burkan missiles was destroyed in Nabatieh. The target of the Israeli Air Force (IAF) then turned to the eastern Lebanon Beqaa Valley region. On Monday night in Beqaa, secondary explosions in Baalbek following an airstrike confirmed to Israel that they had hit an ammunition storage location. Then there were more strikes. Also this week, the IAF ended the life of Khalil Hussein Khalil Al-Maqdah, a terrorist affiliated with the Iranian IRGC, who was involved in directing attacks and transferring funds and weapons to Judea and Samaria. On Wednesday, the IDF launched an extensive campaign, striking ten sites across southern Lebanon. This is believed to be the most widespread attack on southern Lebanon since the beginning of the war.
West Bank
Justice was meted out in the West Bank on Saturday. Two senior Hamas terrorists, Ahmed Abu Ara and Raafat Dawasi, were killed when an explosive drone struck their car in Jenin, West Bank. Both were involved in the planning of last week’s Jordan Valley attack during which 23-year-old Yonatan Deutsch was shot and killed.
Daring Recovery of Hostage Remains
In a courageous operation during an offensive in Khan Yunis, IDF special forces and members of the Shin Bet made a beeline to a specific tunnel. When they arrived, they found what their tipster had told them would be there – the bodies of six male hostages, ranging in age from 35 to 80. All six had been kidnapped and taken into Gaza alive, but were murdered at some point over the past 10 months. So they will not be forgotten, the names of the dead are Alex Dancyg, 75, Yagev Buchshtav, 35, Chaim Peri, 79, Yoram Metzger, 80, Nadav Popplewell, 51, and Avraham Munder, 78.
Iran
Israel and the rest of the world are still waiting for the Iranian response to the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. IRGC Deputy Commander Brigadier General Ali Fadavi warned Tuesday that Iran will definitely strike Israel at an appropriate time and place, and promised that Israel “will be punished more severely than before.” However, it seems unlikely Iran will risk themselves by going head-to-head against Israel. Instead, they will use their mad dogs, Hezbollah, to carry out their bidding. That’s why Hezbollah is currently paying the price for both their own and the Iranians’ sins, and they will continue to pay because wiping out the terrorist group is the only way for Israel to win this war.
But prior to setting their eyes on problems outside their borders, Iran may want to deal with issues on the home front. The morality police began arresting women in Qazvin, north of Tehran, on Tuesday, but the people weren’t having it. Crowds quickly formed and rescued the women. But they didn’t stop there. They beat the policemen, all while chanting Death to the Dictator. The unrest spread to some surrounding towns, as well.
The United States
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with American Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Monday to discuss a “hostages for ceasefire” agreement. For the first time, the PM walked away from the meetings backing the latest proposal. It is likely he did so because the current deal being discussed would take into account Israel’s security needs. Not surprisingly, Hamas rejected the previous proposal outright and has already indicated that they will reject this one, too.
Colombia
Last week, Colombia’s President Gustavo Petro followed through with a threat to ban coal exports to Israel. Angry over Israel’s prosecution of the war in Gaza, the president signed the ban eight days ago. This will be a hard hit for Israel. Colombia is Israel’s largest supplier of coal, accounting for approximately 30% of the nation’s need.
Russia and Ukraine
Yesterday saw Russian President Vladimir Putin kissing a copy of a Quran at the dedication of a mosque in Grozny, Chechnya. In this first presidential visit to Chechnya since 2011, Putin, flanked by the Grand Mufti of Chechnya and by the crazy Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, pressed his lips to the gold-covered book and pressed it to his heart. It may be that we have to give the president a pass, however. In Chechnya with Kadyrov standing next to you, not kissing the book and pressing it to one’s heart would quite possibly be a death sentence for anyone, even if you are the president of Russia.
One more reason for his equanimity is that Putin needs all the friends he can get right now. After moving into the Kursk region, Ukrainian forces are now reaching northwest into Bryansk. The fighting is heavy on the region’s border. Meanwhile, back in Kursk, the Ukrainian Air Force destroyed a major bridge over the Simeon River, in order to prevent Russian reinforcements and supplies being brought to the battlefield.

Will Iran Attack?
8/16/24 – By Tim Buck
Fotet.org
Gaza
Last Friday, Israel conducted a surgical strike on the Al-Taba’een school compound in Gaza City. The world went nuts. The United Nations immediately condemned Israel for bombing children, while other countries were quick to condemn the Israeli Defense Forces’ (IDF) actions. What these mud slingers failed to notice was, first, the time of the attack. At 5:00 AM, how many schoolchildren are sitting in their classrooms?
They also neglected to take a look at those who were killed in the strike. Thirty-one senior Hamas members were eliminated on those school grounds. However, it’s no surprise that these facts were ignored. If it’s the Israelis who are behind the strike, it’s considered evil.
Speaking of evil, Hamas continued to torture the families of hostages by claiming that in two separate incidents a hostage was killed and two others were injured by the terrorist soldiers. On the opposite side of the good vs. evil coin, the IDF continues to be very busy in all of Gaza. In the Rafah region alone, Givati forces have killed more than 100 terrorists in recent days.
Lebanon
The tensions throughout the north of Israel increase daily. Many countries have pulled officials from Lebanon in preparation for a war between Israel and the terrorist group, Hezbollah. The U.S. government says that it has plans to evacuate up to 100,000 citizens from the nation.
Last Friday, Hezbollah launched a massive barrage of rockets and missiles toward the Golan Heights and Upper Galilee. Since October 8, the terrorist group has launched more than 7,500 missiles and 200 drones at Israel which killed 43 Israelis, 19 of whom were soldiers, and wounded 271 more. These projectiles also started 790 fires which have burned 40,000 acres of land.
In preparation for a possible attack, Israel has increased intelligence measures over the skies of Lebanon and Iran. The strikes by the Israeli Air Force (IAF) have been well-planned and persistent as it seeks to soften the capabilities of Hezbollah prior to full-blown war.
The ground of northern Israel shook Tuesday when, just across the border in Kfarkela, Lebanon, the IAF dropped three MK-84 bunker buster bombs from an F-35 jet. This was the first time since the beginning of hostilities that these munitions were used.
Syria
Syria experienced a 5.0 earthquake on Monday, and a 4.5 on Tuesday. Maybe if God can’t get ahold of the Syrians’ attention through guns and bombs, He’ll choose to shake them up another way.
West Bank
The battle against terrorism is not just to the north and south of Israel. It is within the country. Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Palestine Islamic Jihad (PIJ) all have active fighters in the West Bank.
Wednesday, in a rare instance of the IDF, border police, the Israel Prison Service’s elite Metzada Unit, and Shin Bet all operating together, five terrorists were eliminated in operations against cells in Tubas, Tamun, and the Far’a refugee camp. Four Israeli troops were wounded in the operation when an IED exploded near their light armored vehicle.
Jordan
Last week, it was reported that Jordan said no to both Israel and Iran using their airspace in an attack. A couple days later, Jordan amended their statement saying that Israel would be allowed to fly over the nation if it was to defend itself against an Iranian barrage. Immediately, they were harshly criticized by many in the Islamic world.
So, they took it back and said again that neither country could fly across their borders. What both Jordan and Israel understand, however, is that there is a gap between public denials and what Jordan will actually allow Israel to do.
Iran
A report from Iran International yesterday said that Tehran has begun, for the first time, active secret development and testing on an explosive device for the warhead of a nuclear weapon. This is greatly concerning. Unfortunately for the ayatollahs, they may have a hard time paying for the research.
Yesterday also saw a major cyberattack against the Central Bank of Iran and other banking institutions. It caused a major disruption in the system and could be the largest attack ever against Iranian infrastructure.
The Temple and Tisha B’Av
Tisha B’Av, the remembrance day for the destruction of both the Solomonic and Herodian temples, was observed last Monday night and Tuesday. Despite warnings and threats, nearly 3000 Jews visited the Temple Mount to mourn the loss of the holy sites. Last year, the number was only about 1900.
The United States
Secretary of State Antony Blinken approved a deal Tuesday that will supply to Israel F-15 fighter jets and other materiel worth almost $19 billion. In addition, other agreements were made that would supply $774 million worth of shells and $583 million worth of vehicles.
Unfortunately, with the U.S. it is always a blessing and a curse. They willingly send the war materiel, then ask Israel to promise not to use it without their approval.
While that was taking place in Washington, in Los Angeles on Tuesday a group of antisemitic, pro-Palestine protesters decided to block the 405 Freeway. Nine people were arrested, and, surprisingly for California, no one was run over.
Russia/Ukraine
Recently, there has been an incursion of Ukraine into Russia’s Kursk region continues. Since it began last week, Ukraine has taken 74 villages and small towns, even swapping some of the Russian road signs with Ukrainian.
Meanwhile, in Moscow, the alert level has been raised and the number of police has been increased in fear of infiltration of Ukrainian special forces into the city.
This is following Sunday’s swarm of Ukrainian drones which struck Moscow and a nearby airfield. For his part, President Vladimir Putin has officially ended all peace talks with Ukraine, which is disappointing because they were going so smoothly before!!!
Turkey
No matter how much you dislike the grumpy President, sometimes he does something that will make you smile. On Saturday, the sons of the now defunct Hamas political bureau leader, Ismail Haniyeh, met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who offered his condolences.
However, according to reports, what he didn’t offer them was their father’s $3 billion that is stored in Turkish banks. That kind of money can come in handy to a country whose economy has been failing. The last thing the grumpy dictator was heard saying to the empty-handed brothers as they walked away mumbling was, “And stay off my lawn, too!”

Trouble In The East Bank
Iran Seeking To Form New Eastern Terror Front!
8/14/24 – By Tim Buck
Fotet.org
A serious and dangerous situation is unfolding as Iran works to establish a new eastern terror front in Jordan against Israel’s major population centers.
Iranian Revolutionary Guard units are collaborating with Hamas and Hezbollah operatives in Lebanon to smuggle weapons and funds into Jordan with the aim of destabilizing the regime.
From Jordan, these weapons are then smuggled across Israel’s eastern border, flooding Judea and Samaria, particularly into refugee camps, with dangerous weapons and large sums of money.
The aim is to create a pro-Iranian Islamic terror front, as they have done in Gaza and Lebanon, and other areas, but that would better target Tel Aviv and Israel’s major population centers.
The Iranian axis of evil already controls refugee camps in Judea and Samaria through its proxies, leaving the Palestinian Authority powerless to act.
Israel will need to take some of these terror hubs like the Jenin refugee camp and carry out a thorough operational campaign to dismantle the terror infrastructure in these camps.
This is a shared interest of Israel, and her allies, and the entire free world – to halt the spread of Iran’s axis of evil into Jordan and then the West Bank.
The majority of Jordan’s population is Palestinian who up until now have enjoyed a good life under King Hussein but could easily be bribed and become partial to Iran. This would be a disaster.
The enemy knows that if he Jordan would fall into Iranian hands it would have catastrophic implications for Israel’s security.
Israel may have to construct an eastern barrier along Israel’s border with Jordan that would prevent the smuggling of weapons from Jordan into Israel, which is now becoming a serious threat both the Jordanian regime and the State of Israel.

Iran Seeks Revenge
Iran has Publicly Rejected the Joint Statement made yesterday by the United States, U.K, France, Germany, and Italy stating their intention to Support the Defense of Israel, and calling on Iran to Immediately Halt their Threats of Military Action.
With Iranian Officials stating that the request “Lacks Political Logic” and “Flies in the Face of International Law” while further claiming that Israel will be Punished as well as anyone who Aids in her Defense.
Senior Iranian officials told Reuters, “Only Israel announcing a ceasefire can prevent Iran’s direct attack on Israeli territory. If we and Hezbollah seem to be failing the talks or if Israel is dragging the negotiations – we will attack it directly.”
However, Hezbollah is destined to be attacked no matter what Iran says as it is impossible for the Israelis to go back home to the border towns and villages as long as that terror group poses a threat.
In recent days, Israel has been sending messages to the US and other European countries that any direct attack from Iran’s territory as a response to Haniyeh’s elimination which Israel never claimed responsibility for, will be met with an Israeli attack on Iran’s territory.
As part of the messages that are conveyed to Israel’s partners, it is made clear that no matter what the results of the attack will be – Israel is determined to respond and attack Iran, even if the Iranians fail to cause casualties on the Israeli side.
The purpose of the messages being conveyed is to reduce ahead of time the pressures expected to come from the international community to avoid an attack on Iran, similar to the pressures exerted on Israel last April, after the failure of the Iranian attack.

Spoils of War
8/2/24 – By Tim Buck
FOTET.ORG
Count up the plunder that was taken; of man and beast; you and Eleazar the priest and the chief fathers of the congregation; and divide the plunder into two parts, between those who took part in the war, who went out to battle, and all the congregation…”
Numbers 31
Israel and the Middle East are bracing for turbulent days.
Israel’s enemies are somewhat plagued with confusion and fear due to Israel’s successful policy of (and miraculous) eliminations of senior terrorists, most recently in the very heart of Beirut and Tehran. They know that Israel’s long arm can reach anyone, anywhere.
Hezbollah’s Chief of Staff was killed last week by Israeli precision missiles while he was visiting his lover in their secret apartment in Beirut. He is the man responsible for the massacre of the Israeli-Druze children from the Golan Heights last week, and for the murder of hundreds of American Marines in Beirut in 1983. In addition Hamas’ leader and billionaire, Ismail Haniyeh, was blown to smithereens in his VIP Iranian hospitality apartment. How embarrassing for our enemies.
Consequently, Iran and her “terror branches” (Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, and radical militias all over the Middle East) are surrounding little Israel with tens of thousands of missiles, rockets, and explosive drones. They are drunk with insanity, jealousy, and hatred, and are promising a harsh retaliation to save face.
What has been considered so far as a “limited war,” can change at any moment and erupt into a regional armed conflict where Israel may have to take strong and even extreme measures to push the enemy back.
Please keep Israel in prayer and let the Spirit of God guide your prayers accordingly. How encouraging and comforting to know that the God of Israel neither slumbers or sleeps.
RECENT DEVELOPMENTS
GAZA WINDING DOWN
Three hundred days have passed since Hamas attacked Israel on Oct.7 and for all practical purposes, the war in Gaza is winding down as far as major military operations are concerned as Hamas has lost most of its capabilities. Sadly, more than 115 hostages are still unaccounted for, and efforts are ongoing toward their returning home, whether dead or alive.
Globally, the media coverage and hype concerning the Gaza situation has subsided, and many people have lost interest. IDF surgical operations continue to eliminate scattered Hamas operatives, while the security belt around the entire Gaza Strip (including the Philadelphia zone on the Egyptian border) is wisely being broadened and further fortified. Most of the Gaza “uninvolved civilians” have been relocated to the humanitarian zone by now, and the remaining scattered population will eventually end up there as well.
It seems likely, Gaza will remain a RUINOUS MEMORIAL to the evil people who reveled and passed around candies at the beheading of the young men, the raping of women, the torture of children, and the burning of babies. With no foreseeable and acceptable agency emerging that will be able and willing to administer the Gaza region, it seems the IDF will remain the boss for the foreseeable future. This war’s main effort is nearly over. The IDF is preparing for the next war.
USA ENGAGED
Dangers are mounting in the Middle East, many international carriers cancelled their flights into Israel, and American forces in the region are increasingly under Iranian Militias’ attacks.
Consequently, the US has deployed 12 warships to the area, including the USS Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier, amphibious combat teams, and more than 4,000 Marines. Should regional hostilities erupt, America needs to be prepared to defend its Middle East interests which include Saudi Arabia and the moderate Emirates.
NORTHERN FRONT
The overall situation is intensifying, and roughly 80,000 Israeli civilians are still evacuated from their homes in Northern Galilee and relocated in temporary shelters throughout Israel for 300 days. The IDF may have to take decisive action soon since (in violation of UN Resolution 1701) the Hezbollah terror army who never moved away from Israel’s northern border is now a clear and present danger. Barring a political or a miraculous breakthrough, Israel will have to do the following:
- Invade Lebanon, push Hezbollah’s forces north beyond the Litani River, and restore the security zone which Israel used to control until Israel handed it over to Lebanon as part of the 1701 UN Resolution in 2006. Since Lebanon could not / would not control Hezbollah, the region became a security hazard for Northern Galilee. Israel, once again, will now need to control it.
- Israel must also invade Syria and restore the security territory (including the top elevation of Mt. Hermon) which was handed over to the Syrian regime in 1975 as part of the cease fire agreement. This territory is sheltering Iranian funded terror militias who are a constant threat to Israel, and since Syria cannot not / would not handle them, Israel has too.
- Israel will not only need to capture these territories, but also to annex them as a permanent part of a greater Israel. Without it, Israel will not be able to hold on to the Galilee or be ready to house hundreds of thousands of Israelis and new immigrants who will be moving in during the coming years.
HAMAS HUMILIATED
Hamas cannot respond to or avenge the recent elimination of its leader (Ismail Haniyeh). It cannot even bring him to a respectable burial in ruined Gaza, his “make believe dream nation.” Haniyeh, who’s blown up corpse was cremated in Tehran yesterday, will be buried hurriedly as an exile in Qatar, not far from the Six Star luxury hotel where he lived and worked while amassing his estimated $4 Billion personal wealth.
Since Haniyeh is viewed as nothing but a “despised” Sunni Muslim, the Shia Iranian Mullahs will never bury him in Iranian soil, but rather, as soon as the funeral show was over, shipped his corpse to Qatar, the Capital City of Islamic Sunni terror, for burial. They hate each other, and only their greater hatred of Israel brings them together.
Seeing some of his siblings, children, and grandchildren killed while battling Israel, Haniyeh, whose dream was to slaughter the Jews and drive them away from the land, has now become a message and an example for the entire Middle East. Every enemy that dreams about repeating the October 7th massacre will end up like Haniyeh; blown to smithereens and buried in exile.
GROWING ISOLATION
If you think that the Islamic world and the global powers are upset at Israel today, brace yourself for the greater level of hostility that will be reflected after this coming war is over. Consider what may be the reasons to cause the acute global isolation that is described in Zechariah 12:1-3, saying,
“The burden of the word of the LORD against Israel. Thus says the LORD, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him: ‘Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it…’”
More than ever, Israel will need friends and prayer partners in the coming days. The most reliable souls that will possess the strength, courage, and inspiration to be that friend Israel needs will be those born again by God’s Spirit.
How about you?
