Kabul Airport Blast:
90 Afghans & 13 US troops killed in suicide bomb attack

ISIS SUICIDE BOMBER BLASTS KABUL AIRPORT INCLUDING CHILDREN AND UNITED STATES MARINES AS A PARALYZED JOE BIDEN WHITE HOUSE COLLAPSES
The first blast was caused by an ISIS suicide bomber in a vest, detonating outside The Baron Hotel, where Westerners were staying before their evacuation flights.
A second explosion was reported nearby a short time later at the airport’s Abbey Gate, where crowds of Afghans have been gathering for more than a week in the hope of being put on one of the evacuation flights out. That explosion was caused by a car bomb, according to unconfirmed reports.
Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby tweeted there were a ‘number of US & civilian’ casualties.

This is a Day of
National Humiliation
Our Commander in Chief has failed the nation, and this horrifying story is still unfolding.
This is a sad day and our nation is in big trouble as God’s hand of protection and mercy is removed for all the world to see!

Thousands of people have gathered at the airport over the past 12 days hoping to be evacuated after the Taliban seized power.
At least 90 Afghans have been killed and 140 other people hurt in the attacks, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Thirteen US service members were killed, including 12 Marines and one Navy medic, while 15 were injured.
Officials said it was highly likely that Brits were among the dead.
The attacks made for America’s deadliest day in Afghanistan in 10 years – and Republicans claimed US President Joe Biden had “blood on his hands”.
Mr Biden told those behind the Kabul airport attacks: “We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will hunt you down and make you pay.”
The blast carnage at the airport comes as…
- Hours before UK and US governments warned Kabul Airport faced ‘imminent, highly lethal’ attack
- Desperate Afghans were told ‘forget airport and run for border’ to flee from Taliban
- Ex-Marine Pen Farthing and his 200 animals were blocked from airport by Taliban
- The Taliban took a US Black Hawk helicopter for joy ride after seizing 200,000 firearms
- ISIS took responsibility for the attacks, sharing a picture of one of the bombers

FOTETPrayer Challenge
Starting Today Through August 31
The Taliban have not honored their previously agreed upon timeline, and bombs at Karzai International Airport are leaving women, children, and others in danger. This is a critical time for the body of Christ to pray for the Afghan people.
We are believing for a Red Sea moment to come to believers in Afghanistan, protecting them from the enemy, and bringing them onto new ground with divine strategy.
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome.John 1:5
Calling Prayer Warriors
We are calling prayer warriors to fast and pray as this Hour has come.
Here’s how you can pray:
*Fast and pray for miracles within the Afghan underground church and especially for those who the Taliban are seeking in the rural towns to kill and rape. (Luke 18:27)
*Pray for the body of Christ in Afghanistan to stand firm in their godly inheritance (Ephesians 1: 9-23)
*Pray for miraculous protection for women and children being forcibly taken and those that have already been taken for their protection, salvation, and deliverance. (2 Thessalonians 3:1-5)
*Pray for new hope for the believers and unbelievers. (Psalms 46:1-3)
Thank you for joining us in this critical hour!
Blessings,
FOTET

Current Events and Global News In the Last Days!
Welcome to today’s headlines!
So much is happening so fast we decided to provide a batch of timely articles out this week all at once.
Jesus stated that the days before His return for the Church would be as they were in the days of Noah. Thus, we can expect that those who oppose the truth are going to increase and far outnumber those who stand for the truth. Yet, Peter said we should be blessed when reproached even when others blaspheme God for our association with the name of Christ.

Biden-Harris Anti-American Policies
In Just 7 months, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have unleashed a wave of anti-American policies resulting in human suffering and misery that’s nearly impossible to fathom.
Did you know that every 7 days, some 1,500 illegal immigrants infected with COVID come across our southern border? That’s 6,000 COVID carriers every month, and what happens to them? Some get put in Biden’s cages, but the majority of them are put on buses and sent to small towns all across America in the dark of night.
Biden tells us to ‘wear a mask and take the shot’ while flooding our states with COVID infected illegals. When asked to do something about it, he does nothing. He tasked Kamala Harris with “visiting the border” and she did nothing. If you are counting on anyone in the Biden administration to keep you safe, you can be quite confident they will fail you.
It’s easy to forget that Joe Biden has only been president for seven months. The Biden era is such a whirlwind of cruelty it can be hard to keep track.
The unfolding human rights disaster in Afghanistan is merely one of many catastrophes in the month of August alone.

Putin Mocks
U.S. Rainbow Flag
It seems Russian President Putin may have a higher moral compass than those running the U.S. today! The U.S. Embassy rainbow flag hanging on a busy street in Moscow represents the Administration’s evil effort to export immorality. Putin is not impressed!
America used to have a testimony of sending out missionaries but now we’re promoting what God hates!
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday mocked the rainbow flag hung from the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, suggesting it reflected on the orientation of the diplomats.
During a televised video conference, a lawmaker told Putin that the U.S. Embassy had hung a rainbow flag on its façade.
“Who works in this building?” Putin asked the speaker, Senator Alexei Pushkov, answered “the Americans.”
“Let them celebrate. It shows a certain something about the people who work there,” he added with a smile.
Putin signed amendments to the Constitution backed by a national vote that include a clause on marriage being between a man and a woman, aimed at preventing the legalization of gay unions.
He said a law banning the promotion of homosexual relationships to minors, which he signed in 2013 was to prevent the “foisting” of such relationships on children.
“Let a person grow up, become an adult and decide his own path himself. You just shouldn’t impose anything,” Putin insisted.

Biden Helps Make Osama-bin-Laden Prophecy Come True
Former al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden apparently thought so little of Joe Biden that he predicted the former vice president would “lead the U.S. into a crisis” if he became commander in chief.
As ABC News reported in March 2012, bin Laden planned an assassination attempt against former President Barack Obama but banned fellow al-Qaida terrorists from targeting Biden.
In a 45-page letter from May 2010, bin Laden ordered Obama’s assassination because “Obama is the head of infidelity and killing him automatically will make Biden take over the presidency for the remainder of the term, as it is the norm over there.”
“Biden is totally unprepared for that post, which will lead the U.S. into a crisis.”
In other words, the terrorist who orchestrated the murder of 3,000 Americans was hoping our current president would accede to the White House for reasons that are now obvious: namely, Biden’s stubborn idiocy on foreign policy, which has indeed precipitated the Afghanistan nightmare. Even the U.K., our most trusted ally has taken to blasting Biden’s inept global crisis.

Summer Aliyah Figures Are Up!
Aliya is the term used for Jewish people who immigrate to Israel. More and more are making the decision that NOW is the time to go home to Israel. The Lord is going before them and preparing the way. Their dreams are being fulfilled, and obstacles are being overcome. The sons and daughters of Israel are going home in significant numbers.
Operation Exodus USA says, “we are seeing increases during the summer months from the North, the South, and the West. Most weeks during this summer, we witness that flights are departing to Israel from the USA daily.
More than 40 flights are scheduled to depart to Israel from the USA during the summer months, each carrying the Jewish people home to Israel. Many rejoice that soon they will be home in Israel.”
Taking the steps towards making Aliyah is sometimes filled with obstacles the Jewish pilgrims need to overcome, but with their hearts filled with the dream to soon be home, they overcome each obstacle step by step. As one shared recently: “We dream our dreams with eyes wide open.”
Therefore behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “that it shall no more be said, ‘The Lord lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt,’ 15 but, ‘The Lord lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them.’ For I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their fathers.
Jer. 16:14-15
In our generation, God is daily fulfilling one of the most significant prophesies in Scripture by calling the Jewish people back home to Israel. Pray for Israel and the many organizations who assist the Jewish people.

Biden Helps Make Netanyahu Prophecy Come True
Netanyahu rejected John Kerry’s Afghanistan-style solution for the Palestinians.
Former prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected an offer from then-US secretary of state John Kerry to visit Afghanistan as a model for a solution for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Netanyahu wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.
“In 2013,” Netanyahu wrote, Kerry “invited me on a secret visit to Afghanistan to see, in his words, how the US established a local military force that can stand up to terror on its own.”
A senior official in Netanyahu’s government at the time who was privy to the prime minister’s talks with Kerry confirmed Netanyahu’s statement, adding that Kerry had suggested Netanyahu travel to Afghanistan in disguise.
According to Netanyahu, “The message was clear. The ‘Afghanistan model’ was the model the US wanted to implement for Israel to deal with the Palestinians.”
Netanyahu said he politely declined by saying, “We will get the same result as Afghanistan will get if America leaves. We will get the same result in the West Bank if we withdraw from the West Bank.” Netanyahu warned this because he thought at the time that Afghanistan would fall apart once the US left. Bingo!
“That, unfortunately, is what is happening now: An Islamist extremist regime conquered Afghanistan and will turn it into a terror state that will endanger the world,” he wrote. “We will get an identical result if, God forbid, we give parts of our homeland to the Palestinians.
The Palestinians will not establish Singapore, they will establish a terror state in Judea and Samaria, a short distance from Jerusalem and the Ben-Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv.”
Netanyahu also warned that the international community will not protect Israel from the Iranian nuclear threat, and that if not for his vocal opposition to the 2015 Iran nuclear deal and work to persuade US president Donald Trump to leave it, Iran would already have a nuclear weapon.
Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs president Dore Gold, who was Foreign Ministry director-general under Netanyahu, said it is important for Israel to study the US pullout from Afghanistan. The message of the situation in Afghanistan “is that Israel’s doctrine of self-reliance has no replacement,” Gold said.
“Israel understood all along that its defense doctrine cannot be based on foreign forces, but the ability of Israel to defend itself by itself,” he stated. “The idea that Israel could rely on foreign forces was firmly rejected by Israeli prime minister Netanyahu.”
American diplomats had long tried to convince Israel to allow international forces to stop a terrorist threat from the Palestinians, but “Netanyahu was very firm in rejecting this idea,” Gold added.
Gold said that the American retreat from Afghanistan could also lead countries in the Middle East, including Israel, to work together to defend themselves.

Turkey At War Accused of Bombing Medical Workers & anti-ISIS Fighters
Turkey has long harbored ISIS members and backed extremist jihadist groups in northern Syria, where it has used them to ethnically cleanse Kurds, Yazidis and other minorities since 2017.
As the world has been focused on the crisis in Afghanistan, Turkey has been increasing its airstrikes on the Yazidi minorities in northern Iraq and attacking anti-ISIS fighters in eastern Syria. Yes, you heard that right. Turkey has always stood hand and hand with ISIS and protected them at every turn.
Now Ankara appears to be trying to destabilize areas where ISIS was once active and where it committed genocide. That’s because Turkey sees northern Iraq and Syria as belonging to the Ottoman Empire. This includes targeting the Christian community of Tel Tamr in Syria and the Yazidi communities in Iraq near Sinjar.

Yazidi fighters at their headquarters in Sinjar, Iraq
It is not a coincidence that Turkey has targeted ethnic and religious minorities, but rather part of a long process of attacks on minorities in the country and the region by the Turkish armed forces.
The latest round of attacks began last week and coincided with America and the world’s attention being drawn to Kabul.
Turkey killed four health workers in airstrikes in Sinjar, according to Rudaw. It targeted a health clinic in its attacks, and also claimed to be targeting “terrorists” which is the label it gives to local Yazidi activists aligned with the Sinjar Resistance Units or YBS.
These are members of the Yazidi minority who survived the ISIS genocide of 2014 and formed armed units to fight ISIS and save members of their community. They are akin to Jewish resistance fighters who resisted the Nazis in the forests of Belarus.
The US State Department said that it is “aware of the press reports concerning the Turkish operations in northern Iraq. We reaffirm our view that military action in Iraq should respect Iraqi sovereignty.”
As Turkey was carrying out airstrikes on the health clinic and Yazidis in northern Iraq, it also increased attacks on Kurds in eastern Syria. According to reports, four members of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Force (SDF) were killed in a Turkish bombardment in northeast Syria. The Turkish army “carried out an aerial attack on Tel Tamir’s Military Council base, killing four of our comrades, wounding others and causing material damage to civilian houses,” the SDF said in a statement.
It appears Turkey has been following closely the Taliban’s success in Afghanistan at ousting the US and thinks that it may be able to achieve the same thing in Syria.

SC Gov. McMaster says it’s ‘our duty’ to help Afghanistan’s fleeing Taliban rule and to give them a home in South Carolina
“Those people … helped protect Americans,” McMaster said, answering a reporter’s question whether, like governors in California, Maryland and Virginia, he’d welcome them to South Carolina. “Now it is our duty to help them. We need to help them.”
Afghanistan is now under the control of the Taliban, after the country’s capital of Kabul fell to the Islamic forces over the weekend. Ashraf Ghani, the country’s former president, has since fled and the government has collapsed.

Biden Failed So Badly, Other Countries Are Rescuing Out Own People
There aren’t enough words to describe just how badly Joe Biden fouled up in Afghanistan.
We’ve been in Afghanistan for 20 years and what do we have to show for it?
Well, we’ve wasted nearly $1 trillion…yes, with a “t” on a war that we have officially lost. This is the biggest military disaster since the Vietnam War.
We’ve lost thousands of American lives in this nonsense war.
How about the Taliban? Well, obviously we know how this turned out. You might as well just call Afghanistan “Talibanistan” now. They now have control over more land now than they did when we sent troops inside.
Now Biden is having trouble getting Americans out of Afghanistan. So much so that the French and British militaries are rescuing our own people instead of American forces rescuing them. They are having to put their lives on the line because Biden couldn’t figure out how to get our people out of there!
Pray for America and please pray for Afghanistan which has over 100,000 believers in the underground Church who are now in serious danger with no guarentees or protections!

The Urinals Are
Coming Down
I can’t believe I just typed those words. In the local middle school in Loudoun County northern Virginia, contractors are removing all the urinals from the men’s bathrooms. Why? Because, supposedly, there are too many men without male genitalia who are offended by urinals.
I can’t believe I just typed those last nine words.
And to make matters even worse, the signs on the bathroom doors denoting “male” or “female” will be taken down.
Let’s keep in mind this is a Middle School!
This decision comes in the wake of Loudoun County School Board passing Policy 8040 which states:
“LCPS staff shall allow gender-expansive or transgender students to use their chosen name and gender pronouns that reflect their gender identity without any substantiating evidence, regardless of the name and gender recorded in the student’s permanent educational record…staff or students who intentionally and persistently refuse to respect a student’s gender identity by using the wrong name and gender pronoun are in violation of this policy.”
This policy caused much controversy in Loudoun County. Parents have been arrested, teachers have resigned, protests have occurred, recall petitions have been signed, lawsuits have been filed. The school board has even closed board meetings to the general public and restricted the number of speakers in a vain attempt to limit the outrage.
In the midst of this, let’s remember that we are all made in the image of God – male and female. As God declares it in Genesis 1:27 and 31, “It is indeed good.”
Unfortunately, in the last days of the church-age, some people are just not comfortable being a male or female.

When He came the first time, Jesus came to a world dictated by both the Caesars and the Herodian dynasty. While Jesus was growing up, Augustus died in A.D. 14, and was replaced by the paranoid emperor, Tiberias. During the reigns of these tyrants, Jesus presented Himself as the sacrificial Lamb of God, and became a sacrifice for the salvation of the entire world. In that day, His timing was perfect.
He came not to a land of peace, but of wars and revolutions. It will be so again, and very soon, since we’re approaching the second millennium since His departure. He is coming again, and His timing is always perfect.
Remember the special prophecy of the Prophet Hosea!
“After two days he will revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight”
Hosea 6:2
We believe this is a prophecy about two prophetic days of a thousand years each. Since most scholars believe Jesus was crucified in 30 AD, the end of the second day is approaching.
Soon, He will come again, and His arrival will be as perfectly timed as it was at His first coming. But this time, He will not live a modest life among the miserable power-grabbing leaders of today.
Instead, He will come to take His own people – both the dead in Christ, and the living faithful – home to heaven. There, with the Body of Christ in heaven, we will be witnesses of Christ’s Coronation Ceremony as King of Kings and watch Him prepare to judge this world in the seven-year Tribulation period.
When He came the first time, the world was wracked by revolution and false religion. Today, we groan, as we await a remedy for all the lying and the breakdown of morality, rampant false religion, socialist revolution and the threat of rising Islamic aggression.
But this time He’s coming not as the humble Savior, but as the risen Christ, who will gather His own, and soon after that, begin to open the seals of judgment.
Jesus is coming for His Bride, the Church! Be blessed by the thought of meeting Him in the air!

The Ripple Effect of Afghanistan
Written By Amir Tsarfati
Edited by Tim Buck
Every now and then, there are shifts in the world. These are moments that can be called game-changers. What we have been watching this last week in Afghanistan is most certainly one of these game-changing moments. Not since the fall of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of the Soviet Union have we witnessed this big an alteration in the geopolitical landscape. These past seven days have seen the end of America as the world’s number one superpower and have left us in what now can be considered a Post-American Era.
I am not saying these words for shock power, nor am I in any way gloating. I am an Israeli with a deep love for the United States. There is no greater friend that my country has had in our 73 years of existence than the US, and there are many in America that I consider to be as close to me as family. That is why it is with great pain and sorrow that I write these words. But it needs to be said, and maybe it takes someone from the outside who can look at the situation objectively and who has access to news and media that isn’t driven by a party agenda.
What has taken place this last week in Afghanistan has shown the world that America under this present administration is, as one Chinese TV host put it, a “paper tiger”. It may look big and scary on the outside, but when an Islamist terrorist army came marching to Kabul, rather than standing up against it, the US military continued its pull out, abandoning its friends and allies and breaking its promises. Please understand that this is not a knock on the United States military. If US forces were allowed to give full vent to their power and skill, the Taliban would be reduced to smoldering ash heaps in hours. It is the finest, strongest military in the world. But even a small child can throw rocks at a great bear if the great bear is penned up in a cage.
What led to this situation? Not surprisingly, many fingers in Washington and in the press are pointing at the previous US president. But that is based on either ignorance or a willful distortion of the facts. It is true that the previous president did plan to pull troops out of Afghanistan, but it was going to be a measured withdrawal based on a deal that he had established between President Ashraf Ghani and the Taliban. Under the deal, Ghani would release 5000 prisoners to the Taliban.
In return, the Taliban would not attack the Afghani forces or the US military. The American president threatened the Taliban mullah he was dealing with saying that if they broke the deal, he would hit them like they’d never been hit before. He even mentioned by name the village that the Mullah came from. Ghani, for his part, never liked the agreement that the 45th president brokered. He worked hard with this friends in the Democratic Party to sabotage the deal. But, the pact was signed in Qatar in 2020, and for the next one-and-a-half years, no American soldier was lost due to the Taliban.
Then the new administration came in and immediately canceled the deal between the Afghanis and the Taliban. In its place, they presented… nothing! They just began to pull out and figured the Afghanis could take care of themselves. The Taliban, seeing the deal gone, decided they had no choice but to take over. They began overwhelming little pockets of Afghanistan here and there. The Afghani army that America had trained, funded, equipped, and trusted dropped their weapons and ran away. Soon, the pockets of Taliban control spread and began to merge, and before the world knew it, the Taliban army was closing in on Kabul. What was predicted to take 2-4 months took 2-4 days. Even the Taliban was shocked at how easy it was, with many areas around the country falling without even a fight.
Then President Ghani, as corrupt a politician as one can find, fled the country with $169 million. The nation was leaderless, and the Taliban happily stepped in to fill the vacuum. When the United States saw that the Afghani army had completely collapsed, they signed a pact with the Taliban asking for a period of time to let them safely pull their personnel out. So far, as the Americans have fled, they have left behind billions of dollars’ worth of military equipment. Just like that, the Taliban has gone from hiding out in the wilderness of Afghanistan to becoming one of the best armed terrorist militias in the world.
The present situation in Afghanistan comes right out of a dystopian nightmare. While the Taliban puts on a front of a kinder, gentler terrorist force, the Afghanis know what is really going on. Murder, execution, rape, child trafficking – that is what is taking place away from the cameras of the western news sources. Unfortunately for the perpetrators, their evil deeds can’t escape phones and social media. The postings have been horrific.
The scenes at the Kabul airport with tens of thousands flooding the runways and surrounding the grounds are enough to tell us what is really going on in the country. Many of us have seen the pictures and videos of planes filled to capacity with those who are fleeing. We’ve witnessed the bodies of the desperate ones, mistakenly thinking they could hold onto the outside of a plane the way they would to a railroad car, lose their grip and plunge to the ground. Despite the huge number of Afghanis who have made it to the airport, there are still an estimated ten thousand Americans and American allies who are trapped in various places around the country.
Afghanistan has the 2nd largest, per capita, underground church in the world, estimated at 100,000. Only the underground church in Iran is larger and faster growing. Under the Taliban Caliphate, Christians in Afghanistan will now face an uncertain future of persecution and forced conversions to Islam. Recently, the Pentagon put out a statement saying it could no longer secure safe passage to the airport.
World Wide Ripple Affects
The purpose of this newsletter is less about Afghanistan itself, than about the ripple effects of what has just taken place. Just as the swells expand outward when a stone is thrown into a pond, the waves emanating from the boulder of American weakness being dropped into “Lake Afghanistan” are shaking the world. When the bad guys are only being kept at bay because of the presence of the policeman, what happens when it is discovered that the policeman has no bullets in his gun? Not only should all the innocent citizens run for cover, but the policeman himself better watch his back.
As mentioned earlier, China is feeling the ripples. What is it that has kept that powerful nation from taking Taiwan, an island nation they have coveted for decades? American power. Now China is flexing its muscles and increasing its threats. Hu Xijin, editor-in-chief of the Global Times (a state affiliated media outlet), tweeted, “After the fall of the Kabul regime, the Taiwan authorities must be trembling. Don’t look forward to the US to protect them. Taipei officials need to quietly mail-order a Five-Star Red Flag from the Chinese mainland. It will be useful one day when they surrender to the PLA [People’s Liberation Army].”
Beijing also is positioning China as the world’s new moderate voice of reason and helpfulness. They present themselves as the ones who are prepared to enter Afghanistan to help fix the mess that the unhinged, war-thirsty, bumbling Americans have left behind. They’ve also worked out a deal with the Taliban to mine and exploit the estimated $1-3 trillion of rare minerals in the country, promising the Islamic government a healthy cut. If there is any nation in the world that should have US citizens feeling nervous, it is China.
The ripple of Afghanistan has reached the shores of the hermit kingdom of North Korea. Through sources that I trust, I have been told to keep an eye on Kim Jong-un. North Korea has been waiting for a weak or distracted America. It now has both.
Iran is riding the ripple by going full bore on its uranium enrichment. This ramping up had already begun with the advent of the new US administration and the return to negotiations. They have already reached the 60% enrichment threshold and are rapidly progressing toward the 90% needed for weapons-grade uranium. Meanwhile, their terrorist proxies in Iraq and Syria continue to grow bolder as they attack oil fields, weapons caches, Iraqi forces, and US military facilities. America will strike back occasionally, but the only country that is consistently hitting Middle Eastern terrorists is Israel.
The ripples are rolling north to a country that also knows a little about leaving Afghanistan in defeat – Russia. They’ve been there, done that, and just under three years after their departure the USSR dissolved. When it comes to the aftermath of Afghanistan, Putin is hoping for contracts for the military and commercial rebuilding of the country. But there is an even bigger play that he is working toward. The concern in many former Soviet republics of an expanding Russia, which was already heightened since the US transition in January, is now increased even more. Ukraine in particular is wondering how long it will be before Vladimir Putin stops knocking at the door and just kicks it down.
There is also no one left to confront the growing presence of Russia, Iran, and Turkey in Syria. Turkish President Erdogan also covets his part of the new Afghanistan hoping to be the Sunni Islam presence in the nation’s rebuilding, alongside secular Russia and China. But in Syria, Russia, Iran, and Turkey together have become an axis of power situated just north of Israel.
Which brings us to the last of the pertinent states feeling the ripple. It is also the most important – Israel. I don’t say that simply because I am a Jew and I root for my home team. That statement is fully backed by the Scriptures.
“When the Most High divided their inheritance to the nations, when He separated the sons of Adam, He set the boundaries of the peoples according to the number of the children of Israel. For the Lord’s portion is His people; Jacob is the place of His inheritance.”Deuteronomy 32:8-9
Israel is the center of God’s plan for the nations. In fact, Bible prophecy has nothing to say about the nations as such in their relations to one another, but only in their relation to Israel – the people and the land.
Does that mean that God doesn’t care about all the other nations? Does He only love Israel and the rest of the countries can just go pound sand? Of course not! It just means that as we look for God’s hand in the progression of His timeline for this world, one of the factors in consideration must always be how the nation of Israel is affected. And in the case of the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, the answer is “greatly”. Israel is in real trouble right now. Washington, our greatest ally, is weak. The new Israeli “government of change” is pitifully weak. Russia doesn’t respect us. Iran is tweeting out threats. Israel is in a precarious position today. We are isolated, and the enemy is at our gates.
For true Christians, those who have received Jesus as their Savior and Lord, these ripples should be a cause for concern but not for fear. When the 45th president was in office, peace was spreading through the Middle East. Any bad actors had to have one eye to their gunsights and one eye to the sky looking for that missile that just might be racing towards them. Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, Kim Jong-un, Ayatollah Khamenei, and Recep Tayyip Erdogan knew that they could push boundaries, but that there was a point of “too far”. Now with the 46th president, we’ve seen that “too far” no longer exists.
I have said many times that I am not a prophet. I can only look at Scripture and look at the world around me and see how the two fit together. I am also not a sensationalist, nor a date setter. When it comes to biblical interpretation as it relates to geopolitical events, I will always err on the side of caution. That being said, I must tell you that with the era coming to an end of America standing as the world’s greatest superpower, one of the last major hurdles leading up to the rapture of the church has been overcome. Am I telling you that Jesus is returning for His bride tomorrow? Lord, let it be so, but, no, I am not.
If you are a Christian, be about your Father’s business.
My dear brothers and sisters, by all appearances the time is short. Let us not rest. Let us not be distracted. Let us be about the Great Commission, sharing the truth of Jesus Christ and making disciples. Thus, if the Lord does continue to tarry, His kingdom will continue to expand. But if He should return soon to take us to be with Him, that friend or relative or co-worker whom the Holy Spirit has placed on your heart just might be joining you to meet the Lord in the air.
Awaiting His Return
